A launcher that brings iOS interface to Android reaches more than 50 million downloads

A launcher on the Google Play store capable of bringing iOS skins to Android smartphones has surpassed 50 million downloads. This is set when the app is updated with design changes and features coming to  iPhones  running iOS 16.

This launcher is nothing new to the Google Play store and has been bringing the iOS experience to Android phones for the past three years. Launcher ‌iOS 16‌ begins emulating the iOS 13 interface and continues with every subsequent major iOS release, the app has just been updated to reflect the changes made with iOS 16.

In the latest version, Launcher ‌iOS 16‌ has simulated iOS home screen, dock, Force Touch menu on apps, "wobble mode", App Gallery, iOS-style widgets... Launcher launch also replaces new iOS-like icons, such as Messages, Notes, Camera, and even the Google Play Store has Apple's App Store icon.

Because of the customizable nature of the Android operating system, Launcher ‌iOS 16‌ also provides users with customization features not even offered to ‌iPhone‌ users, such as being able to customize the app categorization in the Gallery apps, edit home screen animations, easily rename apps...

Another interesting information is that in addition to Launcher iOS 16, there are many other iOS interface clone launchers on the Play Store that also have a high number of downloads, with applications up to millions. The reason is said to be because the new lock screen on iOS 16 was released at the WWDC 2022 event in June.

This has motivated Android users to download these launchers to experience Apple's new operating system interface. Unfortunately, Launcher iOS 16 does not support the latest lock screen interface.
