Apple 'silently' improves wireless charging speed on iPhone 14 Series

A YouTuber named ChargerLAB recently did an experiment related to MagSafe charging on iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max to find out if Apple has improved anything in charging speed and the answer is yes, let's find out. understand!

The test was performed on Apple's MagSafe charger , running firmware 247.0.0.0. In this experiment, ChargerLAB measured the amount of power transferred during charging, peak power, and the time it took to fully charge the device to give accurate results.

As a result, the iPhone 14 Pro Max retains its fast charging capacity (16 W to 19 W) longer than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Specifically, iPhone 14 Pro Max keeps fast charging capacity for 1 hour 4 minutes, while iPhone 13 Pro Max is only 44 minutes.

The reason is that because the iPhone 14 Pro Max has improved heat dissipation, the device will be less hot when charged quickly, resulting in a higher charging capacity longer than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The final result, iPhone 14 Pro Max fully charged to 100% battery with MagSafe took 2 hours 18 minutes, iPhone 13 Pro Max took 2 hours 26 minutes.

Because the charging capacity will decrease with a percentage of the battery charged to increase battery life, the results will not be too different, but considering the fastest 50% battery charge, the iPhone 14 Pro Max will be faster than the iPhone 13 Pro Max a lot.

Are you impressed by the iPhone 14 Pro Max?
