Twitter CEO Elon Musk today met Apple CEO Tim Cook at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California, according to a tweet shared by Musk earlier today. Let's find out with 24h Technology right below this article!
The video shared by Musk shows the Apple Park campus, previously seen in Apple videos and photos taken by employees.
Musk thanked Cook for taking him around Apple headquarters without mentioning what the two might have discussed. The meeting came shortly after Musk recently announced that Apple had "almost stopped" offering ads on Twitter and that Apple had threatened to stop Twitter from appearing on its App Store.
Musk said that Apple made censorship requests, though he didn't go into detail about what Apple might have said about the censorship. Twitter has undergone rapid change since Musk took over in October, and many of the employees responsible for moderating and formulating policy have been fired or left the company.
Apple has taken decisive action against other social networking apps because of lax censorship policies, such as Parler, so Twitter and Apple could lead to a major dispute if Twitter doesn't handle it. satisfactory inappropriate content.
Twitter has reinstated more than 62,000 suspended accounts, including that of former US President Donald Trump, and it's still unclear if that matters.
Apple and Twitter may also have disagreements over Twitter Blue subscriptions. Platformer this week said Twitter is delaying the launch of its Twitter Blue service as it seeks to avoid Apple taking a 30% cut in profits on iOS devices.
Musk said that he and Cook had resolved a misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store, which Cook said Apple was no longer considering.
