Samsung has denied reports that it will discontinue its Exynos chip business. The company stated on its Q2 2022 conference call that it was "absolutely not true," South Korea's Maeil Economic Daily reported.

"Currently, we are reorganizing our systems-on-chip business model and pursuing a plan to strengthen our competitiveness in the medium and long term," the company explained.

“In particular, we are focusing on strengthening the competitiveness of the next generation mobile Exynos and trying to maximize the market share of major customers by strengthening cooperation with leading IP companies. early and started developing early," the company added.

This statement comes after several outlets reported that Samsung is working on an ambitious custom chip for Galaxy flagships. This processor is expected to launch in 2025.

A massive report from South Korea from May alleges that Samsung will skip the release of Exynos for its Galaxy flagships in 2023 and 2024. The firm has said that "no concrete decisions have been made yet". Famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo confirmed that next year's Galaxy S23 series will only be equipped with Snapdragon chips.
