BOE introduces Monster 600Hz monitor for gaming laptop

BOE recently launched the world's first 600Hz laptop screen. It is known that no gaming laptop model on the market today owns a screen with such a huge refresh rate parameter. Even the current Nvidia RTX 4000 series is not capable of supporting 600Hz displays.

This could be a race by OEMs to change the limit of screen refresh rate in their products. It's been a long time since 60Hz screens appeared, and now, some laptop models like the Alienware XT7 R2 have been equipped with 480Hz screens. Increasing the refresh rate of monitors will help the gaming industry grow, and this will benefit most AAA titles.

Therefore, BOE is now working to accommodate the growing number of gamers. The Chinese company is exhibiting several display technologies at the World Display Industry Conference 2022. BOE's innovative product line includes 34-inch ultra-wide Mini-LED gaming monitors with 165Hz refresh rate, Z-shaped folding smartphone screen and 16 inch 600Hz laptop screen.

In it, the 600Hz screen also comes with 1.66ms fps. Laptops equipped with this screen can use TN or IPS panels , come with Full-HD or Full-HD + resolution and have a 16:10 aspect ratio.

It will be interesting to see BOE's new display used on a gaming laptop in the future, but that may not be the case anytime soon. Last year, BOE announced a 27-inch 500Hz display, but it is yet to appear on any commercial products.
